Challenge given in the scope:
Cosmetic industry is the most regulated and follows strict compliance guidelines. One of our customers was facing multiple compliance challenges to be executed before final custom clearance is done, this resulted in delayed custom clearances as well.
Customs department wanted stickering of labels on each SKU carrying the laid down contents as mentioned in drug and cosmetic Act. This called for compliances, accuracy and productivity-based solutions.
Our Achievement:
We thoroughly mapped the short comings in terms of compliances, cost of compliances and time taken for completion.
We redrew the canvas and adapted a disruptive action by replacing the male labours by female labours, this generated superior results in terms of 100% labelling accuracy, per person productivity & reduction in damages, While being 100 percent compliant.
On an average, the ladies labour performance was 36% better than the male labours.
